The offices of the Lee County Board of Commissioners will be closed on Monday, September 6, 2010, in observance of Labor Day. County offices will reopen on Tuesday, September 7, 2010.

Garbage pickup scheduled for Monday, September 6, 2010 through Friday, September 10, 2010 will be delayed one day.

Lee County Utilities Authority is proud of the fine drinking water it provides. This annual quality report shows the sources of our water, lists the results of our test, and contains much important information about water and health. Lee County Utilities Authority will notify you immediately if there is any reason for concern about our water. We are happy to show you how we have surpassed water quality standards. The Authority contracts with the Georgia Environment Protection Division (EPD), Drinking Water Program, for laboratory and related services consistent with the Authority's need to comply with the requirements of the National Drinking Water Regulations.

Due to changes to House Bill 1055 Special License Plate fees have changed. The Department of Revenue will implement the following changes:

• All pre-bill recipients for May and June will be assessed at the pre-bill rate stated on the pre-bill.
• New owners or persons changing license plate types will be assessed at the new fee rate.
• July pre-bills will reflect the increased fee rates.
