How can I find out if I am registered to vote?

You can find out online by accessing the Secretary of State's My Voter Page by visiting www.mvp.sos.ga.gov. You may also call the Lee County Elections & Registrations Office at (229) 759-6002.

How do I know which House, County Commission, or Board of Education district I live in?

You can find this information on your voter registration card. A map of the County Commission/Board of Education districts is available on the Board of Elections & Registrations page.

If I am a Democrat or Republican can I vote in the other party’s primary?

In Georgia, voters do not register by party. You may vote in whichever party primary you choose to.
However, you can only vote in one primary. You must choose!

Can I vote an absentee ballot?

Georgia law does not require a reason be given for voting early. Any registered voter may cast their ballot by mail during the Absentee Voting Period, or vote in-person during the Advance Voting Period. To request a ballot by mail, you may use Absentee Ballot Appliction or call the Lee County Board of Elections & Registrations at (229) 759-6002. When do the polls open on Election Day?

Precincts polls are open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. The busiest times are the first two hours the polls are open, during lunchtime, and the last three hours the polls are open. To avoid waiting in line, consider waiting to vote at a different time or during the Early/Absentee voting period.

Do I need to bring identification when voting?

Absolutely yes! The following types are identification will be accepted.

  1. A Georgia Driver's License, even if expired
  2. Valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency, or entity of the U.S. Government, Georgia, or any county, municipality, board, authority or other entity of the state of Georgia
  3. Valid US passport ID
  4. Valid US military photo ID
  5. Valid tribal photo ID
  6. Valid Georgia Voter Identification card
