The Animal Control department, under the direction of the Public Works Director, is responsible for the enforcement of the county's animal control ordinance in all areas of the county.
This department picks up stray animals and takes them to the Lee County Animal Shelter, resolves citizen complaints regarding animal control issues, and handles animal control complaints under the county's nuisance ordinance.
