The Judge of the Probate Court is elected by the voters for four year terms. The Probate Court is responsible for probating wills, appointing guardians of minors and incompetent persons, issuing marriage licenses, performing marriage ceremonies, recording birth, death, and marriage certificates, collecting county and state traffic fines, and administering estate matters.
