The Animal Control Division, under the direction of the Public Works Director is responsible for the enforcement of the county's animal control ordinance in all areas of the county.

This division picks up stray animals and takes them to the Albany Humane Society under contractual arrangements, resolves citizen complaints regarding animal control issues, and handles animal control complaints under the county's nuisance ordinance.
